Natural Remedies for Curing Headache

Headache is a common problem for everybody, but this ailment can be deadly as well. Most of Khmer people, as seen nowadays, try to get rid of headaches at the first sign of symptoms by swallowing loads of drugs acquired from pharmacies. Many of them don’t know or care whether or not these drugs can do as much damage to our health as they help. Medicine is like a two-sided blade, in other words it can be advantageous and disadvantageous at the same time. That’s why natural remedies can help you better in dealing with this nagging malady. Here are some of them:

  • Eat something high in protein.
  • Wash it away. First take a hot shower and then take a cold shower right after that. Why does it work? When you first take the hot shower, your blood veins will open wide, making your headache even worse. However, after the cold shower is taken, your blood veins will contract and your pain will be eased.
  • Put a crushed ice into your mouth. This is not suggested for elderly, though.
  • Think it away. You can do it by closing your eyes and imagine that you’re at a beach on a sunny day. The sun is so hot that it starts giving heat to your arms. By picturing this in your mind, your blood veins in your brain will send the heat down to your hands, making your headache cease to hurt.
  • Press it away. Headaches can be cured by putting fingers on both sides of your temple and start massaging it. Mind you, this must be done on BOTH SIDES. On the other hand, you can massage the back of your neck or the tip of your toes.
All these tactics described above are just a few tricks to help your with your headache without costing you the disadvantages of using medicines. Remember, these techniques vary from one person to another; one that works for a person might not work for another person. So, you should check out all of these tricks out and see which one works well with you.
