How to Develop Cambodia

I'm just going to be straight with these one, listing out most important points why our country Cambodia is still an under-developed country.

• Corruption: This is probably one of the most important factors which hinder the development of the country since this has a strong impact on the government. What's more, I'm afraid corruption starts from the top, to be precise leaders of this country and everyone else. I must say, even me makes corruption, although not as strong as those elites. So, if Cambodia is ever to be developed, this must be reduced to a minimum rate immediately.

Chicken or the Egg?

This is a controversial topic that has brought many scientists headache because they couldn’t find a reasonable explanation as to which one of them came first, the chicken….or the egg? This matter was first brought up as early as 46 A.D., a long time ago. If you think about it, a chicken needed to hatch from an egg, but an egg needed to be laid by a chicken as well. It’s just like an endless circle of happenings.

Why do we yawn?

Have you ever wondered what makes you yawn everyday? And why do we yawn just because we see someone else does. Overall, what is the meaning of yawning, and how does it happen?

Surprisingly, to scientists, this is still a mystery. However, scientists claim that yawning is not because of boredom. There are some hypothesis made by various scientists. Some say that we yawn because our body needs oxygen. That explains the fact why we open our mouth widely so that the lung can get more oxygen, which leads to the increasing rate of heartbeat, creating more oxygen in the bloodstream. Yet again, this theory is skeptical since we do not usually yawn when we're doing exercise, for exercising needs lots of oxygen as well.

Therefore, the answer is yet to be found. What does only one simple word can make it so complicated for scientists? Let's share what you think. I hope WE can find the answer!

Q&A About Swine Flu

• What is Swine Flu?

Swine Flu is a kind of influenza virus named H1N1. It was originally occurred only between pigs from the infected one to other pigs that it gets into contact with. However, somehow this virus was able to get itself transmitted to humans as well. It’s worth note-taking that this virus has already happened a long time ago, and there are also different types of Swine Flu such as H1N1, H2N2, H3N2 and H3N1.

• Why is it so feared right now?

The scientists are now afraid that this Swine Flu virus is able to infect from one human to another. Why? The case may be that a person who contains the virus got the common flu, so the Swine Flu virus can combine itself with the common flu virus and become a new and more dangerous virus which can be transmitted to another human body. If that’s the case, then there is no question why infected people are increasing remarkably. Moreover, it is founded out that this new virus has a combination of three distinct genes – human, bird and pig.

• What are the Swine Flu symptoms?

The symptoms of Swine Flu are quite similar to those of common flu, including headache, high body temperature, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing or runny nose, etc.

• Is Swine Flu treatable?

I must say the answer is unknown yet, but now we have four antiviral drugs which may help make the disease milder. Those are oseltamivir, zanamivir, amantadine and rimantadine. However, it is said that these drugs must be taken immediately after the first sign disease to ensure its effects.

• What should we do to prevent ourselves from the virus?

Cleanliness is the most important we can do right now, and stay away from pigs if you can! Wash your hand often and go to the hospital as soon as the symptoms said above occurred to you in an unusual way.

It’s worth realizing that Swine Flu now reaches Level 5 of the six-level scale made out by World Health Organization (WHO). Be extra careful!

Chinese Pascal's Triangle

There is a renowned Pascal's Triangle which makes up the formula (a+b)^n. However, 300 years before Pascal found it, there was already a discoverer of this system, the Chinese. Unfortunately, this discovery was ignored until Pascal found it and the credit was gotten by Pascal instead, as resulted in the system name. The Chinese Pascal's Triangle is known as Yanghui Triangle. Here's the picture showing the two English and Chinese versions of the Pascal's Triangle:
